We are home!!

We are home! Praise the Lord, and it feels so good! Everything went according to plan and we left the hospital on Wednesday. Isaac weighed 4 lbs 6 ozs when we left the hospital so he was back above his birth weight which is awesome. Being home with him is amazing, he is doing so so good. He is feeding well and sleeping good in between feedings, I am starting to get tired but it is all worth it. I take naps during the day so that is helping :) Isaac had his first doctors appointment today with the pediatrician and it went great. The doctor said he is doing really good, he gained weight, he is up to 4 lbs 8 ozs now, so he has been gaining one ounce a day which is exactly what they want. His jaundice is fine also so we won't have to do any more treatment on that either. I am loving being a mom, it is the best feeling in the world, and I have the greatest husband ever to support me. He is such a great dad, Isaac and Daddy are going to be best buddies. And for those of you who were curious on how Kodah would do, she is doing great. We introduced her to Isaac right away when we got home. She didn't know what was going it. She is super curious and follows Isaac around wherever he goes. She also does alot of sniffing, and makes sure he is okay :) Thanks again for your prayers and support, I know God has his hand on this little boy and we can truly feel your prayers. Keep them up, we still have a lot of growing to do.

Update

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Isaac is doing great, he is in my room today for the first time and we are taking him home tomorrow! Isaac is a very fragile boy right now, he is still small and needs extra protection from germs. So we ask that you hold on visiting for a while. We want to be as careful as possible and take extra care of him. We hope you understand and continue to keep our little guy in your prayers. We will let you know when it is okay to visit as soon as he is a little stonger.

Coming Home Wednesday!!!!

Hey everyone, this is Heidi I am up and finally ready to send you an update :) Thanks to my amazing husband for updating my blog while I was a little busy :) Things are going really well, I am still at the hospital boarding until Isaac can go home. We had an amazing day yesterday, I feel like we have a totally different little boy. He came to life yesterday, he started breast feeding a lot better and made a lot of progress. His blood sugar was really good everytime they checked it so they began lowering it yesterday morning. By last night it was really good so they took the IV out and he has been keep up good levels ever since. PRAISE THE LORD, he doesn't have to have an IV put back in! This morning I was able to talk to the pediatrician, they decided to put him under the billy lights today for 24 hours. They have been checking his billy ruben levels everyday and they have been pretty steady at a high level, they were hoping it would go down but it hasnt. So he will be under the billy lights today for 24 hours and if all goes according to plans out of the incubator by tomorrow morning!! THey will monitor his temperature and weight tomorrow and should be able to go home on Wednesday!! God is good, you have no idea how excited how excited Ron and I are to take our little boy home! The progress he has made in the last 24 hours has been amazing, God has been answering our prayers for sure. I really wanted to say thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and phone calls. Ron and I are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives supporting us. Please keep praying for improvement and that everything goes well when we take him home.
