Week 26

Here I am at 26 weeks, and ever growing. I feel really good, and anxious about meeting our little monkey! We had a doctors appointment yesterday and scheduled my c section. Okay, here it is.....Friday, February 13, 2009 at 7:30 AM!!! Ron and I are super excited, we were hoping it would be a Friday so that my brothers would be able to be there for the weekend since they are all over the world right now. My doctor asked me if I was sure I wanted to have him on Friday the 13th, I said of course I was born on Friday the 13th it can't be that bad. I then told this to my brother Brian and he quickly responded, "Not that bad, you didn't have to grow up with yourself!" Thanks Brian. My appointments are starting to be every two weeks now, rather than once a month. I also have a follow up high risk appointment next monday. My doctor says I am doing really good, and the baby is doing great too.

I am starting to get excited about the holidays, my brother Justin comes home in a couple weeks which is going to make for the perfect Christmas with the whole family together. I can't believe he is going to be home for good, I am so excited, I miss him a ton!!

We had our first snow last weekend, Kodah absolutely loved it. She was a little confused at first it was her first snow too, but quickly got over that and was running circles in the yard for 4 hours on Sunday. This is whats going on with the baby this week

Week 26:

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches an English hothouse cucumber from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

Here is one last picture I had to add, I thought this was so cute :) Ron is going to be the best dad ever, and he is an amazing husband. I LOVE YOU BABE!!
