13 weeks

Here it is baby bump picture, week 13. I had a great week this week, I have been feeling a lot better and I am starting to enjoy pregnancy :) I was able to see my long time friend Amanda that just had her second child, he is a beautiful baby boy named Caleb. I held him for almost 2 hours, and it really made me excited to be a mom. We enjoyed the long weekend, it was nice to stay home and relax. We were able to spend the day with our brother and sister in law and the neices too. We went out on their pontoon boat and enjoyed the day in the sun. Everyone went swimming except for me, much to the dismay of the little girls. Even Kodah enjoyed the water.
What a handsome husband I have, he is going to be such a great dad! Here is Paige and Kodah taking a nap after the long day, they are best buds. Paige loves Kodah! Ron also bought a lawn tractor, so I took a picture of him on his maiden voyage :)As you can see our yard is finally coming along, and looked much better after Ron mowed it.

Here is what is going on with the baby this week

Week 13:

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long the size of a medium shrimp and weighs nearly an ounce.

12 Weeks - Heard the heartbeat!!!

We had our first doctors appointment yesterday. It was sooo cool! Everything looks good so far, and Ron and I were able to hear the heartbeat. Ron and I were both a little emotional, it was the most amazing sound we have ever heard! My doctor really made me feel a lot better, she is taking into consideration my Crohns and watching everything a lot more carefully. I have an ultrasound on September 3rd, Ron and I really excited for that too! Thanks for all the prayers so far, we feel very blessed to have such an amazing support system.

So here is my 12 week baby bump picture, sorry I forgot last week! Things were a little crazy.
So, I am getting a little bigger. Most of my pants are not fitting, thanks to hair ties and the Bella band I am still able to wear them though :) No maternity jeans for me yet!!

12 weeks:
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, in you prod your abdomen, you baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to to front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.
Ron and I have been pretty busy as well, we went to Cleveland last weekend to visit my brother Brian. We had a ton of fun, we hung out with his friends, went to an Indians game and also went to Dave and Busters (Chuckie Cheese for adults :)) Work is always busy of course, I planned and had a work party this last week. Which was a success! I am hoping things settle down soon, we are staying home this weekend and we are going to enjoy it! Keep praying for us and the little monkey!

10 weeks

Well I know the baby bump still isn't much to look at but my brother Brian asked me to put up some more "fat pictures" :) Thanks Brian!
So we are in week 10, this is whats going on with the baby
Your pregnancy: 10 weeks

How your baby's growing: Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy. If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long.
For those of you who don't know what a kumquat is, I didn't either so don't feel bad. I had to look it up :)

Things have been going very good this week, I had a couple mornings where I didn't feel great but it is getting better. Ron and I were able to go up north for the weekend and enjoy some sunshine, hang out with friends and be in the water. It was very relaxing. We also played a game of softball which as you can see I was an all star :) Ron had a lot of fun knee boarding but of course regretted it afterwards. It was nice to get away, and enjoy the amazing weather.
