9 Weeks

9 weeks and counting, few more weeks and I will be out of my first trimester!! YAY!

Here is whats going on with the little monkey this week

Your pregnancy: 9 weeks

How your baby's growing:Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

So remember if you are eating any grapes this week, that is how big our little one is :)

We had a really great weekend, I was able to help a friend photograph a wedding. SJO Photography, check her out she is amazing. She did our engagement and wedding photos. Also, we spent a lot of time with family. Our oldest neice turns 7 today, so we had a little birthday party for her. I can't believe how fast they grow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORGAN!!

8 Weeks- First Baby Bump Picture

So, I know all of you have been dying to see the beginning of my baby bump, so here is the first picture of many. This is me and our little monkey at 8 weeks! As you can see, there is not much to see, but it has definitely started. I totally feel the difference, my body is changing!! AHHH! Now I am getting excited to get the big round belly :) I have been feeling a lot better, not as much morning sickness. Now my sickness is random times during the day, which isn't very much fun either. My gag reflex is on high, smells, and the look of some things make me sick.

Your pregnancy: 8 weeks

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

We're Having a Baby!!

Surprise!! So I think we can officially say the "word it out". Ron and I are having a baby! We are really excited, we can't even believe it. It was a little surprise, but God has his own timing as we all know :) Check out the pregnancy test, we took two at home, I also went to the doctor just to make sure. We bought a house in March, we got a dog in April, so now I guess it is time for a baby!! We are due March 3, 2009 so I am only about 7 weeks along. I have not been feeling very good, but that is okay. I just eat a lot of crackers and pretzels and drink a lot of water. Both of our families are really excited, my parents can't wait to be grandparents for the first time and Ron's parent's are excited for their baby boy to have a baby. My first appointment is on August 28, 2008, and I will be about 13 weeks so hopefully we will be able to see an ultra sound and hear the heart beat!! So I hope you all enjoy this blog, I wanted my family and friends that are far away to keep updated with pictures and news since I won't be able to call everyone all the time :) I will try and keep this updated as much as possible. Also, if you could keep us in your prayers that would be amazing, we need as many as we can get :) Hugs and Kisses!!
